Activities and Relevant Actions

The children culminate the process in the Dance Network, where they developed artistic skills, they presented in two very important spaces of the city, the Lido Theater and the Botanical.

From the vocational area, the arts classes are finished, developing skills and potentials from the different techniques of drawing and painting, children and young people with the support of their teacher make two exhibitions, one at the school “San José de las Vegas” in the framework of the Day of Gratitude and another in the School of Families.

With the micro-football team in the children's category, into the Friendship Tournament, the children become champions, the fair play, values and love of the sport were encouraged.

Completion of the project "Learning to live with the other", where throughout the year the children were made aware of the importance of the practice of Values in daily life and respect for the covenant of coexistence, that they themselves have Built with clear rules in all aspects of institutional life.

The process is finished with the Popular Theater of Medellín, presenting the play "The Little Prince", with full house in the Elemental Theater.

Academic, nutritional achievements, among others.

The area of pedagogy throughout the year provided support and academic reinforcement to all children and adolescents who presented school difficulties in different areas, through the project "Learning to Study" and "Study Time".

Of the 50 children served managed to be promoted to the next grade 45, the remaining 5 did not achieve the objectives.

Completes reinforcement in Mathematics and English with two foreign volunteers, who academically supported the children, achieving most of the objectives for school promotion. 

2016 closure and 2017 projection of the project "Sexuality, A way of recognizing myself" with topics appropriate for the different age groups strengthened the adequate experience of sexuality, highlighting a relevant vocabulary, respect for their body and others bodies.

The project "I love me and I take care of me" and the "Hygiene and Self-Care squads" were closed and evaluated, showing very positive advances in relation to personal presentation, oral care and general hygiene.

Throughout the year the families received “Bienestarina”, food supplement delivered by the Colombian institute of family welfare, children and adolescents significantly improved their nutritional status, approaching the normal parameters for the age. We emphasize the advice and guidance from the Nutrition and Health area, for the continuity of a healthy diet at home.

Activities with families

"Family schools" were performed and evaluation and closure of the "Overcome in the Family" Project was carried out, where it was possible to identify the strengthening of the relationships between the different members of the families, the reduction of psychosocial risks and the use of Social network and state services.

From the psychology area, the focus groups are finalized, evidencing the need for specialized support in certain areas of behavior for children with psychiatric and neurological diagnoses. The accompaniment of the families and the positive advances in this group of users stands out.

Individual counseling processes were completed, showing progress in the family dynamics and in the emotional state of the mothers and children who were cared for.

The project "Together Strengthening the Family" will be continued, strengthening family dynamics through individual orientation, focus groups and home visits, identifying protective and vulnerability factors to establish joint action plans with the Family and the interdisciplinary team.

Pedagogical activities

The activities with the Institute of Sports and Recreation of Medellín, INDER, are finalized, with an invitation to cinema.

The "Points System" ends with the delivery of the "Excelsior Awards", which highlights the best processes in the different categories: academic, arts, sport, culture, values, fellowship, sense of belonging, among others.

The closure and evaluation of the activities with the playroom were carried out, showing cooperative work, creativity, dynamism, some children who showed little disposition in this space, were able to progress in their behavior showing greater disposition during the activities.

Evaluation and closure of the "Let's Make a Deal for Good Treatment" Project, where children are strengthened in identifying, denouncing and preventing situations of risk and violation of rights, there is clear knowledge of protective factors.

They realized different ludic activities like the ecological walk to the hill of the Asomadera and exit to the park of the Tamarindos in San Jerónimo, Antioquia.

 Celebrated with the children and staff the birthday of Corporación Superarse number 46.
