Action for Development (AfD) is committed to addressing this challenge through direct giving and resource mobilization. The donations received are used to purchase and ship the necessary medical equipment and supplies to the CHC in Kabul on an urgent-priority basis. By upgrading the maternity ward and general healthcare services, AfD aims to provide standard best quality medical care to the women and children for the population living in Qasaba and by the Northern Street of Airport (north Kabul).
The maternal health ward at the CHC has been activated in July with completion of the constuction and recrutment of two qualified midwives, who will provide services 24/7.
Thanks to a recent generous donation, we have been able to purchase the necessary medical equipment and medicines required for the maternal health ward. The donation has facilitated the acquisition of:
Achieving the goal of procuring life-saving medical equipment will significantly benefit individuals in Afghanistan. With upgraded equipment and efficient technologies, the CHC will be able to continue and enhance its health services. Women will receive the prenatal and delivery care they deserve, reducing the risks associated with traveling to seek alternative care in other regions. This initiative will directly benefit families by ensuring the availability of essential healthcare services.
The activation of the maternal health ward and the recruitment of midwives mark a significant advancement in our healthcare services. The generous donations we received for purchase of medical equipment and medicines has been instrumental in this progress. We are grateful for the support and look forward to further enhancing our maternal healthcare services to benefit our community.
