The project Little Butterflies in the first months of 2018 has increased its action expanding the number of abused children assisted from 30 to 45. This has been a consequence of the great work of Aleimar and its partners.
During the last month of 2017 and the first part of 2018, several meetings and events have been organized for raising awareness on the issue of sexual abuse and related themes.
Some awareness training took place in Rede Um grito pela Vida school, the training focused on the topic of “Sexual violence” and “Human trafficking” giving pupils the opportunity to express their opinion and participate in the resolution of the problem. The school have also planned a meeting open to all people of the community Município de Careiro Castanho interested in receiving training on different aspects.
Moreover, other meetings were held with all the partners in order to coordinate the work in the city of Manaus and its surroundings and discuss over the past and current cases of the project.
We hope our contribution will progressively increase and help more children and families in the community!
