Little Butterflies: supporting abused kids, Brazil

Since the beginning of the pandemic, in Brazil there have been 30.617.786 confirmed cases and 664.516 deaths. It must be considered that Brazil is a country with several economic and social problems that have increased during these past years by coronavirus’s spread. It seems that February 2022 was the month with the highest average cases while the highest number of deaths have been reached in April 2021. Coronavirus had a huge impact on children life, even more for those who live in challenging conditions. The educational poverty level is still expected to raise and this harsh reality will affect the poor one. Our aim is to protect the most vulnerable people by providing social assistance, health support and education access.

 In 2021, thanks to our donors we were able to support our little butterflies despite all the difficulties that we had to face. During 2021 we helped 47 children by offering them individual special assistance 2 hours a week. We also helped 20 families by providing them basic needs as for example food and care products. Nowadays in the center there are 42 children and guys who are receiving assistance. Many more need your help!

We ardently hope to keep supporting in the future Father Hudson, who manages the centers, in his project idea of launching three new headquarters in order to help more children victims of sexual abuse in Manaus by providing them legal, health and psychological support.
