On Friday, 25th August, our local referent and coordinator Father Hudson will be a guest at our Aleimar site and, together project leader Flavio, we will have the opportunity to ask him in person how they are continuing the project activities.
Waiting for this exciting meeting, here are some little anticipations!
Every day have been reported to have cases of child victims of sexual violence and in need of immediate psycho-physical support. In the face of this emergency, although initially expected to take charge of 30 children for semester, operators decided to expand the therapeutic-psychological pathway to 10 new children in a state of extreme fragility. The first 16 meetings were concluded in June: among the 40 participants, 33 completed the program and, constantly monitored by the social worker, they were able to come back to the family. The other seven children, who have not yet fully reworked the violence, continue with 40 new children the planned group therapy.
Prevention in schools continues to be very good: around 2000 students have been involved in pedagogical and educational activities aimed at the cognitive and psycho-motor development of children and the identification and recovery of abused minors.
Waiting for Father Hudson's words to return, we would like to thank all those who have achieved these results and who, even with a small donation, are helping many defenseless children to reborn.
