The chief of Cyaruzinge Village tells us that his daughters have been helped by the vocational training program in a surprising way. When they became pregnant it was a bit hard, because both were unmarried and the new babies brought more mouths to feed…who would pay for that?
Thanks to their vocational training in hairdressing, the girls were able to develop their skills and acquire the tools of their new trade. Slowly, they shared their talent with their friends and found some willing customers.
Now the girls can contribute to the grocery fund at home and help support not only themselves, but also their children and the rest of the family with the fruits of their labor. Surprisingly, their work sustains not only their stomachs… but also it succeeds in restoring their role as family supporters. And with that, their self-esteem and respect keep rising as well, a win-win-win. Thank you for supporting this inspirational progress!
