A Bright Beginning - Closing One Year, Opening Another

As we reach the end of this calendar year, our Little Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian Bright Beginning project is celebrating another chapter of growth, learning, and hope. Since September, our group of children aged 3 to 5 from marginalized Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities has been coming together every weekday in a safe, colorful classroom where they are encouraged to explore, learn, and dream.

Over the months, these children have made incredible progress. Many of them arrived shy, speaking very few words, and unsure how to interact with other children. Today, they sing songs together, recognize letters and numbers, play cooperatively, and talk with confidence. They’ve learned how to hold a pencil, listen to a story, and share their ideas — skills that will help them thrive in school and in life.

One of the most heartwarming examples is Egzon, a 4-year-old who joined us at the beginning of the year barely speaking at all. Through daily storytelling, art activities, and gentle encouragement from his teacher, Egzon began to open up. Today, he is one of the most talkative in class, always eager to answer questions and help his friends. His mother told us, “I never imagined he would change so much. He is ready for school now — and so happy.”

Your support has made stories like Egzon’s possible. Because of you, we could provide free preschool education, nutritious snacks, learning materials, and the loving attention of skilled educators. You have given these children more than knowledge — you have given them a brighter start in life.

In September, we will welcome a new group of children aged 3 to 5, opening the door to the same opportunities for growth, confidence, and joy. With your continued generosity, we can:

  • Provide each child with learning materials tailored to their needs

  • Maintain a safe and warm classroom environment

  • Offer daily activities that build both academic and social-emotional skills

  • Support parents to engage in their children’s learning journey

Thank you for walking with us on this journey. Together, we are building brighter beginnings — one child at a time.
