Thanks to all of your support, the LIVES KITCHEN project is seeing results and progress. We are happy to report to you that the three staff, who have intellectual disabilities and autism, were hired part-time by Hilton Tokyo!! Core volunteers helped the boys to be punctual, understand instructions, and helped them to take initiatives on their tasks. We always have fun and we all have respects for each other.
They just started their work from September at the hotel, so they are sill trying to learn and get used to the environment and the people. They reported to us that they are having a good time, although it is sometimes hard.
We now have three staff with disabilities who come once a week, and one boy Nakatcho, who is ready to go into the workforce.
It is a pleasure and joy for the volunteers to be able to help and coach them, as it is amazing that each and every one of them learn quickly and grow and become more sociable. We are very proud of them.
We are now collaborating with the Hilton Tokyo and Dean & Deluca here in Tokyo, and we plan to grow our partnership with other companies as well.
In order to sustain this project, we need the maintenance fee, driver's fee and to pay our staff with disabilities. We need your continued help and support and we will make sure there will be another good things to report to you next time.
The food truck project was featured in the WHITEBOOK Edition 55 published by ad.comm group. Thank you Andreas Dannenberg!
We are finally over with the hot hot summer heat, and going into the best season of the year. We shall be having more fun!!
Thank you always!!
