Despite the growing dangers and instability caused by the war and the worsening human rights situation in Iran, our work to save the lives of political prisoners continues every single day. At the moment, we are especially focused on urgent efforts to support and protect Varishe Moradi, Pakhshan Azizi, and Sharifeh Mohammadi, three women whose lives remain in serious danger because of their human rights activities and peaceful resistance.
In recent months, communication blackouts, restrictions inside prisons, and increasing pressure on prisoners’ families have made humanitarian and advocacy work extremely difficult. Nevertheless, with the help of our supporters, Verein Welle has continued to raise international awareness through satellite communication, online campaigns, publications, and direct contact with human rights networks and institutions. We have worked to ensure that the names and voices of these women are not forgotten.
Our teams and volunteers continue publishing urgent reports, translating testimonies, organizing awareness actions, and helping families receive information in extremely difficult circumstances. Every report, every interview, and every campaign creates more international attention and pressure that can help prevent executions and abuse.
Your donations arrived at a critical moment. They helped us continue our media work, emergency communication efforts, and advocacy campaigns when many channels inside Iran were silenced. This support gives hope not only to prisoners, but also to their families who continue to live under fear and uncertainty.
We know the situation remains dangerous, but we will not stop. Together, we continue fighting for justice, dignity, and freedom — and for the lives of Varishe, Pakhshan, Sharifeh, and many others whose futures depend on international solidarity.
