Love Landing - Meal Box Fundraising

Ahead of Mother's Day, the Careus Foundation brought love and handmade cakes to Wanlong Elementary School in Pingtung, sharing sweet moments and daily life with children in a remote campus of only six classes.

This outreach trip was accompanied by Xiao-Zhen and Xiao-En (pseudonyms) from the Fuxing Small Workshop. The lively Xiao-Zhen cheerfully praised the children's performances as "amazing," while the shy Xiao-En mustered the courage to introduce the work assistive devices she uses daily. Through these interactions, the children gradually came to understand that everyone has things they find difficult, but with a little extra method and practice, anyone can accomplish tasks well. Before the event concluded, the students specially presented cultivated staghorn ferns to the participants. What began as a journey of delivering cakes and blessings ultimately returned filled with abundant smiles and love.

This love includes your invaluable support. Since delivering its first meal box in 2009, the "Sending Love to Tribal Villages" initiative has spanned 18 years, reaching 18 counties and 253 townships across Taiwan. It has not only become an eagerly anticipated after-school companionship for children in remote areas, but has also allowed the seeds of understanding and respect to sprout and grow.

This Mother's Day, this love set sail once again. Thanks to public and corporate support, 10,029 sweet blessings—handcrafted cakes made by individuals with developmental disabilities—were successfully delivered to 135 remote schools across 6 counties and cities in Taiwan, warming over ten thousand children and their families. This achievement represents a collective miracle born from the generosity of society, transforming every drop of goodwill into a steadfast pillar of strength.
