By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your continuing generous support to our project providing low-cost sanitation for survivors of the strongest typhoon this century. The typhoon has caused death and destruction to large areas in Leyte and Samar and until now, local residents, especially those living in remote communities have difficulty in providing for their basic needs. Most especially the need for sanitation facilities is the least of priority not only by them but also by local and provincial government agencies concerned about the matter. The appeal for support for the typhoon has waned already as other disasters are being responded to around the world. This reporting period, we focus our attention to bringing traditional, small-scale support organizations to help in the continuing rehabilitation process. We are happy to report that we were able to invite 3 organizations to conduct baseline visit to our areas in preparation for packaging a project focusing on water and sanitation.
Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
