Dear Patron,
Thank you for supporting LRBT and believing in our cause of 'blindness free Pakistan'. RYK is an important upcoming hospital as Punjab being the largest province of the country has been in dire need of such a facility since years. In the District of Rahim Yar Khan, quality of life for people with threatened or existing visual impairment ,their participation in social life and society in general has greatly been impacted due to the absence of eye health care facilities especially for the poor and due to affordability issues as they cannot visit private clinics due to prohibitive costs and also because there exists no such charitable or government institute that could treat eye patients for free. Most of RYK and adjoining areas comprise of poor people engaged in farming. Due to long exposure to sun in the fields and due to many incidents happening due to hand harvesting of crops, many have been left untreated as there are no such facilities available nearby.Nearest LRBT facility is also approx 250 kms away .LRBT RYK will be a major milestone for this area and it's rural residents.
Construction of our new, purpose built Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan began where earth breaking took place on 12th February 2022.Three sided wall is in progress and so is the layout. The project is planned to be completed in two years.
We have not receieved funds under this project recently but now we appeal to you to kindly look at supporting us by donating to this project.
Looking forwarded to your continued support in running this facility; every penny counts.
Best wishes and warm regards,
Shabana Shahzad
