2014 is off to a great start for the Lynn Sage Foundation as we have finished wrapping up our incredibly successful 2013 and look forward to another busy year. We anticipate an exciting year ahead, and are looking forward to new and established initiatives that will help us continue to raise much needed funds for breast cancer research in Chicago.
Donations have been pouring in from our amazing Chicago's In Good Taste partners and almost all have been received. We are overwhelmed by the generosity and hard work that our partners continue to put in each year as they spend all of October collecting donations for our cause!
This spring, we are preparing for several exciting events and new initiatives! On February 27, Neiman Marcus will host a special Donna Karan New York event with proceeds to benefit The Lynn Sage Foundation. This is the second year this event has been held and promises to be an exciting evening filled with new friends and great fashion.
With hopes of an early spring and Mother’s Day in mind, we are busy planning our inaugural Mother’s Day Fitness event which will take place in the weeks leading up to Mother’s Day on May 11. We are asking local fitness studios to hold classes that will benefit The Lynn Sage Foundation, with a focus on family and healthy lifestyle.
Our annual Mother’s Day Cards for a Cure Campaign will also begin in the spring. We will once again offer beautifully designed digital Mother’s Day cards with all proceeds going to breast cancer research. As this special day gets closer be sure to check out our website to send a beautiful, inspiring, and impactful card to all the special Mothers in your life.
Our current Lynn Sage Scholar, Dr. Sarika Jain, is hard at work conducting a clinical trial that is using the immune system to fight metastatic breast cancer in patients. For more information on the work Dr. Jain is doing and how you can support her, please visit our website.
As always, thank you for your support and generosity!
