Dear Lynn Sage Supporters,
Welcome to spring! Warmer weather is slowly starting to become the norm in Chicago and we couldn’t be more thrilled. We are in the midst of preparing for many exciting spring events and campaigns and are so thankful for your continued support.
Last month, we held a reception to honor our newest Lynn Sage Scholar, Dr. Athanassios Vassilopoulos. Dr. Vassilopoulos’ research focuses on the study of the genetic and biochemical connection between sirtuin genes and carcinogenesis as well as tumor cell resistance. The team at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine organized a lovely and informative reception which included a tour of Dr. Vassilopoulos’ lab! For photos from the reception, please visit our Facebook page, and to read more about Dr. Vassilopoulos’ research, click here.
We are gearing up for our annual Mother’s Day Cards for a Cure Campaign! Our Mother’s Day eCards are now available on our website. You can customize and schedule eCards for all the important women in your life! This year, we are offering traditional greeting cards which we will handwrite and mail for you, just send us an email!
Throughout the month of May, we are partnering with Flowers for Dreams. Send a beautiful, unique, and organic bouquet in the month of May, and The Lynn Sage Foundation will receive ¼ of your purchase! As an added bonus, for each Mother’s Day eCard you send, you will be entered to win 6 months of bouquets from Flowers for Dreams!
More ways to join us in the fight against breast cancer…
We are looking for corporate partners to join us in the fight against breast cancer. If you would like more information on how your company can partner with The Lynn Sage Foundation, please let us know. Upcoming opportunities include corporate sponsorship of our Third Annual Summer Toast on June 5 and sponsorship of Chicago’s In Good Taste in October! Remember to ask about matching gifts when you make your donation!
Please remember to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and sign up for our monthly newsletter to stay up to date on our events and ways you can get involved.
Thank you, as always, for your generous support in the fight against breast cancer. Together we can find a cure.
Warm regards,
Laura & Halee Sage
