Dear Lynn Sage Supporters,
As we near the end of July, we are preparing for our busy fall season. Some of our favorite events take place during the second half of the year, and we’re grateful for your continued support as we enter our main fundraising period!
Our current Lynn Sage Scholar, Dr. Athanassios Vassilopoulos, is continuing to conduct important research that focuses on the study of the genetic and biochemical connection between sirtuin genes and carcinogenesis as well as tumor cell resistance. We are proud to support such an innovative and genuine doctor and his work to end breast cancer. To read more about Dr. Vassilopoulos’ research, click here.
The Associate Board hosted their third annual Summer Toast on June 5 at The Underground in Chicago. We had an amazing time with almost 300 supporters! We are grateful to our corporate sponsors for helping make the event a huge success: Domu, Goldberg Kohn, LaSalle Network, Mesirow Financial, and Wintrust.
We are always looking for corporate partners to join us in the fight against breast cancer. If you would like more information on how your company can partner with The Lynn Sage Foundation, please let us know. Upcoming opportunities include corporate sponsorship of Chicago’s In Good Taste in October and in-kind donations to the silent auction at CHILL in November! Remember to ask your employer about matching gifts when you make your donation!
Did you know that you don’t have to be local to Chicago to get involved in our campaigns? We have national partners that support our cause by fundraising in October, breast cancer awareness month. An easy way to start is to create your own fundraising page dedicated to The Lynn Sage Foundation and share with your friends. We’re always happy to help come up with ways to raise money for breast cancer researcher in your city!
Please remember to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and sign up for our monthly newsletter to stay up to date about our Scholar’s progress, events and ways you can get involved.
Thank you, as always, for your generous support in the fight against breast cancer. Together we can find a cure.
Warm regards,
Laura & Halee Sage
