September 2011 Program Update

By Adam See | Executive Director

VIDA's  Machu Picchu, Cusco, Sacred Valley Disaster Relief project has moved into the long-term support phase.

The 36 micro clinic partnerships established during the emergency are now recipients of long-term assistance from VIDA to support the healthcare needs of the poor who live in these communities.

In 2011, VIDA has distributed over $10 million in aid to Peru in to support our 200 plus healthcare partners throughout Peru including the 36 in the Sacred Valley vicinity.

VIDA will be sending by airlift over $2 million in antibiotics in October in response to the chronic health problems related to unsanitary living conditions.  All medicines will be distriubted by our partners at no cost.

All donations to this project are used to cover the cost of shipping .
