Maison de la Gare releases its 2025 Annual Report — a year of growth, resilience, and renewed hope
This month marks an important milestone for Maison de la Gare: the publication of our 2025 Annual Report, a comprehensive look at a year defined by expansion, innovation, and the strengthening of our mission to protect and empower children.
This update offers a narrative window into the report — a story of people, programs, and the quiet transformations that shaped the year.
A Year of Building: New Spaces, New Programs, New Horizons
2025 was a year of construction in every sense of the word.
We expanded the emergency shelter, rebuilt our offices and workshops, and launched the YAAKAAR boarding school program, now a cornerstone of our long-term reintegration strategy. These investments were not simply infrastructure projects; they were commitments to stability, dignity, and the future of the children we serve.
The Annual Report highlights how these developments have already begun to reshape daily life at the center — offering safer spaces, more structured learning environments, and a stronger foundation for the years ahead.

With increased support from several key donors and a positive year-end balance — despite 33.7 million CFA francs invested in major construction projects — 2025 saw reassuring stability and prudent growth.
