Kids Connection

Dear Donors,

While we are still not able to return to the Titanyen campus, all the children are enrolled in school for the year 2023-2024, and we are supporting three more who are in university.

We have details of our exciting news as well- Montesinos Foundation / St. Dominiques orphanage is thrilled to announce a recently formed partnership with Kids Connection Haiti (KCH). KCH's mission and expected outcome is to provide expertise to help our young adults learn the necessary skills to (1) find a job and (2) live healthy and productive lives without the supervision of the institution in which they grew up.

Some organizations in Haiti focus all of their time on "transitioning" - preparing young adults to live independent, successful, and happy lives in Haiti. We are happy to have the opportunity to partner with an amazing organization to bring the necessary expertise to our young adults. KCH's focus will be on providing coaching, counseling, and running workshops with our young adults to help prepare them for living successful, yet independent lives in Haiti.

Some examples of workshops topics are: Professional orientation & choice of career; Participation and community involvement; Time's management; iv. Citizen's duty; v. Socialization & social integration; Management and personal finance; ix. Setting goals & getting things done; No means no (women’s empowerment training), and many others. We will keep our wonderful donors updated on the progress of our partnership as it begins in the near future.
