The COVID-19 pandemic has continued to affect the world, but as the spread persists, it becomes clear that those most vulnerable are most at risk for serious infection. In developing countries such as Mali, women who are already immunocompromised due to HIV+ and who don’t have access to health care remain vulnerable at a higher scale than the rest of the world. Unfortunately, Mali lacks the health infrastructure to properly address the COVID-19 virus at the scale it exists on. As well, the COVID-19 vaccine continues to be used by few.
GAIA Vaccine Foundation is working to counter this lack of health infrastructure by working with doctors to design a unique approach at the local Hope Center Clinic, as well as provide adequate amounts of testing. Now more than ever, your support is appreciated as there is a consistent need for gowns, gloves and other reusable supplies to properly equip our local doctors and counter the spread of COVID-19.
With a donation of $25, you would be providing a box of masks, crucial to minimize the spread of COVID-19 amongst not only the Malian population, but also our healthcare staff. With a donation of $50, you would be providing surgical gowns to our Hope Center Clinic. With a donation of $80, you would be providing the clinic with a consistent supply of disinfectant. We thank you for your generous donations during this unprecedented time, as now more than ever it is dire to facilitate extra funding towards countries such as Mali, who were not adequately prepared for such a deadly surge of COVID-19.
