The COVID pandemic has had a profound and devastating impact worldwide, and is especially cataclysmic in areas where people are most vulnerable. This vulnerability derives from the lack of proper healthcare infrastructure, and the high number of individuals who are immunocompromised as a result of HIV. This is particularly true in Mali, as their healthcare infrastructure is not able to handle a pandemic of such a large and deadly scale as COVID-19.
Since the first known case of COVID-19 in March of 2020 up until the first week of December 2023, Mali has seen over 33,000 infections. GAIA Vaccine Foundation is seeking to remain ahead of the curve as COVID-19 persists, and is actively working with local clinics to design effective approaches to minimize the impact of this virus.
GAIA Vaccine Foundation’s mission is to reduce the incidence of infectious disease that disproportionately affects the underserved. Therefore, at the inception of this pandemic, we immediately began designing the best plan of action to protect the Malian population through access to healthcare. This would not be possible without your support. As the pandemic persists at its current rate, our doctors and specialists are constantly rotating through gloves, masks, surgical gowns, and disinfectant. With your help and donations, we can continue to replenish supplies so the most optimal help can be provided to Mali’s vulnerable population. With a donation of $10, you would be providing a box of gloves to our healthcare team. With a donation of $25, you would be supplying a box of masks, and with a donation of $50, a box of surgical gowns.
In order to effectively counter the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we need YOUR help. It is with your continued support and generosity that we are able to uphold our mission and provide vulnerable populations with access to proper healthcare. We thank you for your donations!
