Malnutrition is on the rise in Herat, while the Burundi health system is reaching breaking point

Access to health care was already a major problem in Burundi long before the seizure of power, but today the situation has further deteriorated, as most international aid has been suspended, including funding , by the World Bank, of the essential care and primary health program of the WHO in the provinces of the country especially in Bujumbura, Gitega, Makamba, Muramvya, Mwaro, Kirundo, Muyinga, Ngozi Kayanza, Cankuzo, Ruyigi, Bubanza, cibitoke, rutana rumonge, .. The health establishments of the region are either in the process of closing or reduced to providing minimum services with the few resources still available. We have no perspective on what will happen to these establishments. People are unemployed and in a situation of great precariousness, they cannot pay for private care, and some of the humanitarian organizations that previously worked in the region have not yet resumed all of their activities.

The regional hospital du Burundi, where MSF runs a therapeutic nutritional center (CNT) for hospitalized patients, has lost some key resources such as the director and some of the most senior members of the medical staff who left the country just before
The city is not a tomb in the hands of power in place since 2005. The result is a lack of governance in the hospital and numerous administrative challenges. Outside of the nutritional center managed by MSF, salaries have not been paid for five months, there are not enough medical supplies, and there is no money to pay for maintenance. At the same time, the rooms are full of patients and patients. In short, the needs are everywhere and the system is failing.
To save life make a difference we have set up a solidarity project to implement a place to help the most affected in the country, the problem is the lack of money to start our projects, without forgetting that the country has the most vulnerable and first poor country,
