Mangrove has been working for restoring mangroves since 2013. Very recently, we have completed planting 20,000 mangroves at Banishanta union of Dacope sub district under Khulna district of Bangladesh. We have been conducting monitoring of our recently planted 20,000 mangroves.
Now we are at the planning stage of planting 25000 more mangroves in the Sundarbans coastal region (Mathurapur village, Munshigonj union, Shyamnagar sub district, Satkhira district). We have discussed with the local villagers and local govt. representatives about our plan. They showed their positive response regarding mangrove plantation. We also discussed with mangrove nursery owners. They assured us to provide the best seedlings. Now we are planning for fencing of the selected site before plantation. We hope to complete all our preparatory works within this month.
Joydeb Said, ‘we believe that we will be able to make a mangrove buffer zone with 25000 mangroves’.
We would like to thank all our donors for their contribution for us. We are also requesting our donors to start monthly recurring donations. For recurring donation please find the link below;
