BEDS is a leading non-government organization for conserving mangrove ecosystem. The organization becomes the pioneer regarding community-based mangrove restoration. As of now, BEDS has restored over 270,000 mangroves in the Sundarbans region together with local people. Currently BEDS is planning to plant 25,000 mangroves in the Sundarbans coastal region.
BEDS has been assisting local villagers of Mathurapur village under Shyamnagar sub district of Satkhira district to establish mangrove nurseries for their extra earning and nature conservation. They have established one mangrove nurseries. These peoples are also taking care of their saplings in this dry season with regular monitoring. They are inspiring other local peoples to involve in mangrove sapling raising. Also, they are fulfilling the local demand of mangrove saplings in that region but it is very small in amount. We believe that we would be able to create a mangrove buffer zone by restoring 25,000 mangroves at Mathurapur village.
So, we are requesting all our donors to stay with BEDS for the betterment of nature and ecosystem and start monthly recurring donation by clicking the following link below;
