To create a mangrove buffer zone and to protect the coastal embankment from erosion, BEDS have been working since 2013 for the mangrove restoration in Sundarbans coastal region in Bangladesh.
Together with the local people BEDS have almost covered 84 hectares of area through mangrove restoration process. BEDS hope that the restored area will help to increase the local biodiversity, create alternative livelihood for the forest dwellers people and sequestrate more carbon than terrestrial tree. It’s the coastal community whose active participation is ensuring the importance of mangrove restoration in their community.
We are really grateful to all of our honorable donors for their contribution and faith for us. We are also requesting our donors to start monthly recurring donations. For recurring donation please find the link below;
