Mangrove restoration initiatives become successful when monitoring and guarding of the plantation done regularly. BEDS provided training to the local community on monitoring of the plantation site. This monitoring activities ensure the surviveability of the planted mangrove and proper growth of the mangrove. Tree height, leaves number, tree number and appreance of biodiversity is counted for monitoring of the plantation site. BEDS has been working since 2013 for the restoration of mangroves for coastal embankment protection together with the local people.
