When discussing subjects such as climate change, biodiversity, livelihood, fisheries, coastal protection, local culture and heritage, carbon sequestration, nature-based solutions, and more, mangroves emerge as integral components. The BEDS team is wholeheartedly committed to preserving and safeguarding the mangrove ecosystem, creating a comprehensive work package encompassing initiatives like capacity building and mangrove restoration. Our commitment extends to enhancing livelihoods through the production, processing, and marketing of mangrove-based products, incorporating both indigenous knowledge and contemporary science. It is crucial to perceive mangroves not merely as trees but as habitats supporting a diverse range of living organisms.
