Plantations is a critical component of coastal protection because they act as living shorelines, offering a sustainable, cost-effective alternative to rigid engineering like concrete seawalls. By integrating natural vegetation into the landscape, coastal regions can gain multi-layered defense systems that grow stronger over. By the engagement with local community, Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) a community-based non-profitable organization working in the south western coastal region in Bangladesh. In this mission, BEDS initiate community based ecological mangrove restoration is a small scale. Result is too good, people are protecting from the primary tidal hit of wave and also from cyclone, erosion and so on.
BEDS and community people are working together for the mangrove conservation and restoration by their both participation and contribution. We are always grateful that our all of well wisher are supporting us for these activities.
