Sundarbans mangrove flagship ecosystem is the lifeline and safe guard for almost 3.2 millions of coastal people. It is declared as the Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO. But this mangrove forest is losing its resources due to some devastative activities of human and climate change. But mangroves are an inseparable part of coastal communities.
Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is always focused and motivated to conserve the mangrove forest and ecosystem conservation. This is why BEDS wants to plant 100000 mangrove saplings all over the Sundarbans coastal region of Bangladesh. We have already received two donations from respectable donors. We hope we will be able to conduct the Mangrove Plantation activities in near future with the help of the donors.
We are appealing to the global community to help us for conducting the mangrove plantation and restoration activities.
