Hope Uplift Foundation organizes mass wedding events every year for underprivileged couples. Weddings are a very expensive affair in Pakistani culture, and there is great pressure of keeping up with society in this trend. Many poor families often take loans to bear wedding expenses, which are extremely difficult to pay off. In an effort to provide relief, Hope Uplift Foundation has stepped in.
We hosted a grand mass wedding, uniting 26 couples—6 Christian and 20 Muslim, in the month of March 2025. Ten couples traveled from Karak with their families to the Governor House, Lahore, for this special occasion.
"HUF transcends all religions, dedicated to the principles of humanity."
Despite heavy rain, the event was energetically hosted by HUF's team. Our volunteers arranged the event decor and the food.
Lunch for 100 guests was sponsored by our partner Gourmet foods, with the remaining arranged by HUF. HUF students presented the National Anthem and a performance. Brides and grooms made a grand entrance despite the rain.
All in all, it was a beautiful event celebrating the union of couples.
