Every year, Hope Uplift Foundation (HUF) organizes mass wedding ceremonies for underprivileged couples. In Pakistani culture, weddings are often an expensive affair, and many families feel immense social pressure to meet societal expectations. Sadly, a large number of low-income families resort to taking loans to cover wedding expenses, which can take years to repay. To help ease this burden, HUF has taken the initiative to support these families with dignity and joy.
In March 2025, HUF hosted a grand mass wedding, uniting 26 couples — 6 Christian and 20 Muslim. These couples, along with their families attended the ceremony held at the Governor House, Lahore.
“HUF transcends all religions and stands firmly on the principles of humanity.”
The event was filled with warmth and celebration, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the HUF team and volunteers, who managed the décor and food arrangements.
Hope Uplift Foundation will organize its next mass wedding event in March 2026, and preparations are underway to generate funds and organize the next mass wedding as beautifully as the last.
