Medical Aid for Police Brutality Victims

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear donors,

Thank you for your interest in supporting survivors of police violence in Nigeria.

During the 2020 #EndSARS protests, many unarmed citizens lost their lives or were seriously injured. At Lekki Toll Gate alone, 12 peaceful protesters were killed, and over 100 people died nationwide. Many more were left with untreated gunshot wounds, broken bones, and severe psychological trauma. Today, countless survivors still lack access to proper medical care or counseling, and many cannot afford surgeries or therapy.

This project aims to provide comprehensive medical support to these survivors. Services will include emergency surgeries for untreated injuries, trauma counseling for post-traumatic stress, and rehabilitation to help survivors regain independence. We will also document cases to demand accountability and push for systemic reform. In addition, the project will host dialogue sessions between police officers and survivors to rebuild trust and reduce the risk of future violence.

So far, no donations have been received, and we need support to get this project started.

To prospective donors, thank you for considering support. Your contribution can help survivors heal physically and emotionally, restore dignity, and promote lasting change in communities affected by police brutality.

With thanks,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
Project Leader
