Healthcare and Hunger Relief Initiative

Season’s greetings.
Across Pakistan, particularly in remote and underprivileged areas, access to healthcare and nutritious food remains a serious challenge. To respond to these urgent needs, the Customs Health Care Society launched the Healthcare and Hunger Relief Initiative, a program designed to provide free medical services alongside daily food support for the most vulnerable communities.
CHCS operates permanent free medical clinics in Islamabad and Lahore, where hundreds of patients receive consultations, basic diagnostics, medicines, and preventive health guidance every day. In addition, mobile medical camps are regularly organized in rural and hard to reach areas, delivering primary healthcare, essential medicines, and health awareness to communities with little or no access to medical facilities.
Alongside healthcare services, CHCS continues its Dastarkhwan daily food distribution program in cities including Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, and Chitral. These food camps provide hot, nutritious meals to laborers, street children, homeless individuals, and families struggling with food insecurity, ensuring that assistance is delivered with dignity and care.
Looking Ahead to 2026
In 2026, CHCS plans to expand mobile medical camps to additional rural districts, strengthen existing clinics with improved diagnostic facilities, and extend daily food distribution to more urban and semi urban locations. These efforts aim to reach more families, reduce malnutrition, and improve health outcomes across underserved communities.
