Project Report | Jan 31, 2025
contnued medical support for the most marginalized

By Lala Arabian | Executive Manager

Dear Friends,

During this phase of the project, INSAN had started its health support activities in Beirut/Mount Lebanon and Bekaa. However, since the war intensified all over Lebanon in September 2024, our visits have been reduced to Beirut/Mount Lebanon, specifically at INSAN’s center in Nabaa.

Main Results:

During this period, we initially covered three different locations in Lebanon:

  • Sed el Boushrieh and Nabaa in Beirut/Mount Lebanon

  • Dalhameyeh in Bekaa Valley

However, since September 2024, our efforts have been concentrated solely at INSAN’s Nabaa center in Beirut/Mount Lebanon.

From July 1st to the end of December 2024, we have assisted 149 people with medical (physical and mental) and social support. Our main activity has been patient counseling, which includes tips and guidance on pain reduction, maintaining normal blood pressure (e.g., lowering caffeine and sodium intake), and more. We also conduct blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, and provide medications for acute problems like toothaches, back pain, and headaches whenever possible. Additionally, we have supplied some medications to patients with chronic diseases.

INSAN’s psychologist accompanies the medical team everywhere and provides psychological counseling sessions to those in need. We also refer beneficiaries in need of medications and services to other service providers (dispensaries, organizations, etc.) whenever we don’t have the needed service available. INSAN’s social worker follows up on these referrals, ensuring beneficiaries receive the necessary services in a timely manner.

All this was possible thanks to your generous contributions and donations, which have made a significant positive impact on the lives of our beneficiaries.

Thank you for your continued support.
