Health Care Services To The Rohingya Refugees

I will take this opportunity to share with you our impact in the Rohingya Community;

HOPE is running 10 health facilities inside the refugee camps; 7 Sexual and reproductive health centers, 1 Primary health Center 1 Emergency Center and 1 Field hospital for Women.

In this centers the work never ends, please take a look at the numbers below (from September 2017 to February 2018):

These numbers are just an approximation for you to know. The numbers are growing every second!

HOPE has one of the largest Transportation Network working inside the camps for Emergency evacuation and referrals when needed. We count with 4 ambulances (one donated by GlobalGiving) and 20 Tomtoms (local small vehicles) working 24/7.

Our next step will be the grand opening of the HOPE Field Hospital for Women. 

This center will be the only hospital focused on women's health (the most vulnerable population).

Its estimated that over 50.000 pregnant women are living inside the camps with very poor access to health care. This center will be revolutionary, and its only possible because of generous donors like you!

HOPE is very proud to announce the launch of the Field Hospital for Women for  the Rohingya Population in Cox’s Bazar.

The most frequent health problems of newly arrived refugees and migrants include accidental injuries, hypothermia, burns, gastrointestinal illnesses, cardiovascular events, pregnancy- and delivery-related complications, diabetes and hypertension. Female refugees and migrants frequently face specific challenges, particularly in maternal, newborn and child health, sexual and reproductive health, and violence. The exposure of refugees and migrants to the risks associated with population movements – psychosocial disorders, reproductive health problems, higher newborn mortality, drug abuse, nutrition disorders, alcoholism and exposure to violence – increase their vulnerability to noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). HOPE Foundation is engage to the cause from the first day, setting up health camps and also emergency evacuation programs for high risk patients.
