Project Report | Oct 18, 2019
Medication for Oncological Units Jul-Sep 2019

By Oksana Gozdachenko | Senior Fundraiser

The total expenditures of the Tabletochki foundation for medicines and supplies in July-September 2019 amounted to $ 229309. $ 75054 we spent for targeted assistance for children whose families have applied to the foundation for help, and $ 151459 to help 17 children's oncology departments all over Ukraine. Administrative costs for the project amounted to $ 2797.

We have recently received a photo of a wardrobe full of medicines from Mykolaiv. Doctors of the oncohematology department of the children's regional hospital are very grateful to Tabletochki for not spending time on where to get the medicine, but can focus on treating patients.

We would like also to share with you a story oy a girl under our care and say thank you. Her victory is possible because your help!

A girl of 16 years old from the Dnipro region, the diagnosis of Hodgkin lymphoma. Now he is in the bone marrow transplantation department of Okhmatdet.

She is a beautiful, active, cheerful girl who likes many of her peers, loves social networks and communication. She dreams about how she will return home, see classmates, continue to study at school, and dreams about what she will do in the future. Her loving mother supports her, she tries to help her daughter in everything and charge her with optimism and faith in the victory over cancer.

The girl fell ill almost a year and a half ago, it began with a cold and a slight cough. The treatment did not help, it only got worse. The doctor sent for an x-ray, which showed a tumor between the lungs and the heart. During this time, the girl has undergone several chemotherapy courses and is now preparing for an auto stem cell transplant.

She writes to us:

"Hello, I want to thank you so much for your help. After 6 Beacopp blocks and 2 lgev blocks, my lymph nodes on my neck increased on the right side, I got paralytic strabismus after paralysis of n.abducens dexter. And only after 4 blocks with Adcetris, which you’ve bought for me my strabismus almost disappeared and the lymph nodes on the neck and subclavian region disappeared and the tumor between the heart and lungs decreased. Thank you, Tabletochki!”

And we thank you, our donors!
