Dear Friend,
We are incredibly grateful for your support for your contribution to the "Medications for Children's Oncological Units" program. With your help, children have the opportunity to defeat cancer.
This year, Tabletochki Foundation, with the support of philanthropists like you, purchased essential equipment for the Mykolayiv Regional Children's Hospital: the Shalya TuroSeal electrocoagulation device and the 4ML LED HeadLight headlamp. This equipment makes it possible to perform oncological surgery for malignant tumours of the abdominal and thoracic organs.
Before that, this type of treatment was not available, so families had to go to Kyiv to get surgical treatment of the child. This has repeatedly led to disruptions in the planned timing of operations and further treatment. As a result, children lose their precious chances of overcoming cancer. To date, doctors have done two surgeries on children with Ewing's sarcoma and neuroblastoma with the purchased equipment. In general, using this equipment in the Nikolaev regional children's hospital, about 20 operations annually are carried out.
Without this equipment, the doctor could not save the children. But now, doctors are ready to accept children even from adjacent areas for surgery.
This significant improvement is possible thanks to you and philanthropists like you.
