Achievements of the "PILLS" within last 3 months

By Anna Gutman | Fundraising department coordinatir

Most of the ukrainian families are not able to cover the expenses on medications prescribed for their children in order to fight the cancer. That is why one of our most important aim is to supply hospitals with those medications that are not financed by the state. We also raise funds for sending our wards for the bone marrow transplantations to the clinics abroad.

From the very beginning The Charity Fund «PILLS» has been helping kids having oncohematological decease, however lately we felt that there is a huge lack of help for those children who are struggling from other types of cancer.

Therefore there was taken the decision to expend Fund's expertise and to move towards helping children all over Ukraine to fight all kinds of cancer.

In February we bought the medicines and medical equipment for $68 000 for Kyiv and regional oncological departments of the hospitals.

The biggest purchase in February was the antimycotic medicine – Ampholip – 126 packages for $11 115, while our biggest event was a fleshmob for the international children’s cancer day.

In March we raised $ 37 092. The biggest purchase was antineoplastic medicine Onkaspar – 3 packages for $5 740.

The biggest event in March was the event organized in ukrainian schools “Coins for children”, where pupils raised coins for children having oncohematology.

In April we bought medicines and medical equipment for $91 538.

The biggest purchase in April appeared to be Granocyte (the medicine stimulating leucopoiesis) – 40 packages for $15 215. We also participated in Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon, where our runners-fundraisers took part.

We consider the passed 3 months to be very successful for our Fund and we appreciate your support, with the help of which The Charity Fund «PILLS» is able to provide essential medicines that can save many children's lives from various parts of Ukraine!
