Adjah Cancer Support Ghana continues to advocate for better access to essential medications for children undergoing cancer treatment in Ghana’s paediatric oncology units.
Through our ongoing collaboration with hospitals and social workers, we have identified an increasing number of children whose treatment is delayed or interrupted due to the high cost and unavailability of specific cancer drugs. Your support through this project helps us respond quickly by providing critical medications, pain relief, and supportive care items to hospitals treating children with cancer.
So far, we have been able to assist a few children by supplying chemotherapy medicines and antibiotics needed to prevent infection during treatment. However, the need remains great — and the demand continues to grow as more cases are reported.
Our next goal is to strengthen our partnership with paediatric oncology units across the country to ensure that no child’s treatment is interrupted because of a lack of medication. Together, we can save lives and bring hope to children and families facing cancer.
