By Days for Girls International | The Development Team
Dear GlobalGiving Community,
Thank you for standing with Days for Girls as we continue working to ensure menstrual health access for refugee women and girls in Lebanon, even amidst ongoing instability and immense challenges. Your generous support makes it possible for our Social Enterprise and refugee response teams to move forward step by step.
Progress Since Our Last Report
In our previous report, we shared that the Days for Girls Lebanon Social Enterprise produced 350 washable menstrual health kits for distribution, pending safety conditions. We are pleased to report that all 350 kits were successfully distributed by the end of 2024, reaching women and girls with the essential resources needed to manage their periods with dignity.
In total, DfG reached 6,278 people across Lebanon in 2024, including:
Current Project: Reaching 900 Refugee Women and Girls
As of July 2025, the Lebanon Social Enterprise is actively implementing a new project that will reach 900 refugee women and girls with washable DfG Kits and menstrual health education. This initiative is generously supported by the Giving Machines and the Penshorn/Joshua 24 Foundation.
Throughout the first half of 2025, our team focused on securing raw materials, navigating supply chain hurdles, and producing 900 kits for distribution. In July, distributions officially began. This marked a meaningful milestone not only in addressing immediate needs, but also in empowering refugee women with sustainable, long-term menstrual health solutions.
Navigating Challenges with Resilience
Lebanon’s ongoing conflict, political unrest, and economic instability continue to impact daily life and program operations. Frequent power outages, inflation, and regional violence — especially in the south — make planning and travel difficult. Yet, through it all,our Social Enterprise team, composed primarily of refugee women, remains unwavering in their mission and deeply committed to meeting community needs.
The safety of our team and those we serve remains our highest priority. We continue to monitor the evolving situation closely, adjusting timelines and logistics as necessary while maintaining our focus on impact and readiness.
Looking Ahead
The Days for Girls Lebanon team is committed to completing the 900-Kit project and continuing to support refugee communities through both product distribution and menstrual health education. As conditions permit, we will expand our outreach and resume more frequent education sessions. We aim to not just meet basic needs, but to foster lasting change, strengthen dignity, and shift attitudes around menstrual health..
Thank you for your continued partnership. Your support is a vital lifeline to ensure that even in the most uncertain times, the commitment to menstrual equity remains strong.
With deep appreciation,
The Days for Girls Team
