By The Development Team | Days for Girls International
Dear GlobalGiving Community,
Thank you for your ongoing support of Days for Girls. Through your generosity, we are able to continue providing critical resources, care, and hope for refugee and displaced women and girls across Lebanon.
In our last report, we announced that our 2026 project plans were finalized, as we set a goal to reach 1,300 refugee and internally displaced women and girls in Lebanon with menstrual health education and washable menstrual products.
In this report, we are thrilled to share that our project is well on pace to meet its goal. So far, we have reached 1,100 women and girls out of our goal of 1,300. To reach the final 200, we will soon be conducting an education and product distribution in Southern Lebanon.
The location of our final distribution for 2026 is incredibly important, as Southern Lebanon has been significantly impacted by the ongoing regional conflict. The United Nations estimates that hundreds of thousands of people remain displaced in Southern Lebanon and unable to access basic resources, including housing, water, electricity, and health facilities. Thanks to your generosity, we can ensure that the menstrual needs of 200 women in the southern region are met.
Your commitment to advancing the well-being of women and girls in Lebanon is helping make a meaningful difference at a time when their needs are greater than ever. Khayrieh, a Days for Girls leader in Lebanon, shared the impact of our ongoing efforts in the country:
“Right now in Lebanon, so many refugee and internally displaced women and girls are facing uncertainty, displacement, and immense pressure. In the middle of all of this, access to menstrual health products can easily become something they are forced to go without. The Days for Girls project is meaningful because it responds to a very basic but essential need with dignity, care, and compassion. Providing menstrual health kits is not just about giving supplies; it is about reminding women and girls that their health matters, that they deserve to feel comfortable and supported, and that they have not been forgotten. At a time when so many people are struggling, this small act of care can make a very real difference.”
With your partnership, leaders like Khayrieh can continue providing life-changing care in Lebanon. Together, we are helping ensure that menstrual health is one less concern for women and girls navigating the challenges of displacement.
Thank you again for your ongoing support of this initiative – we are deeply grateful for your dedication to restoring dignity and hope to those who need it most.
With deep appreciation,
The Days for Girls Team
