As part of MAR Fund’s webinar series, where partners are invited to present results, lessons learned, experiences and share information regarding projects they have developed, the MarAlliance, an organization that explores, enables, and inspires conservation actions; presented their results of previous support on an ecological risk assessment for the effects of fishing and management (ERAFM) for data-limited deepwater fish species in the Western Caribbean.

This webinar was held on April 25th, 2025 with the participation of 274 people. The goal was for MarAlliance to share results of the ERAFM, as well as present a user-friendly, adaptable, open-source ERAFM toolkit that provides tailored, automated recommendations for research, management and conservation.

Given the importance of small-scale fisheries, essential to food security and local economies, the ERAFM toolkit empowers fisheries managers and stakeholders with evidence-based research support for management, and conservation of commercially important deepwater fishes.

So, let’s explore innovative solutions for small-scale fisheries management!

If you are interested in viewing the webinar, you can find the recording here: https://marfund.org/en/mar-fund-events/#RecordingBaremoreERAFM

We will keep you posted on any other community fisheries topic presented in MAR Fund’s Webinar Series.
