Pregnant women in many rural and conflict-affected areas of Nigeria are unable to access even the most basic health resources. One of the greatest gaps is in micronutrient supplements such as iron, folic acid, and vitamin A that are vital during pregnancy. Without them, women face higher risks of complications, while newborns face risks of low birth weight, stunting, and early death.
So far, no donations have been received to launch this project. This means thousands of women continue their pregnancies without access to supplements that could save their lives and protect their babies.
Each day of delay leaves more women and children exposed to preventable risks. Supplying micronutrient supplements to 2,000 women will help reduce maternal deaths and improve child survival. These supplements are inexpensive but have a powerful impact when delivered at the right time in pregnancy.
Thank you for saving lives
