Project Report | Feb 23, 2016
Happy New Year!

By Ajit Bhimesh | Volunteer

It was around this time in 2014 we decided to post our project on Global Giving and participated in the March 2014 challenge to enlist Balajothi with Global Giving with the Daily Meals for Children of Balajothi

It’s almost two years now and we are grateful to all of you and Global Giving, we have so far raised $4,277 for this project.

Here is the breakup of the amount spent on the daily meals served for the three months to the children of Balajothi:

Nov 2015             Rs.8360.00 (USD ~139)

Dec 2015              Rs.8760.00 (USD ~146)

Jan 2016               Rs.9440.00 (USD ~157)

To know more about the activities at Balajothi check out our web site, also posted on the site is Balajothi’s 2014-15 financial report for your review.

The last few months apart from the Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program where we support children from neighboring rural areas around Kolar & Mysore, we have been actively involved in identifying a land where we can build a permanent facility where children with disability can move & stay safely, learn, be nourished, grow & thrive.

This is dear to all of us and especially so as pur present premises is too small, on the 2nd floor so access is a hindrance for the children with physical disabilities, we have no outdoor play/sport area & no residential facilities.

Balajothi Centre for the Disabled needs to look to the future, join us in helping us reach our dream to have a fully functional residential facility for the disabled children of Bangalore.
