Thank you for your support and donations of USD 1599. The Project endorses the vision of the Government to combat the climate change through Plantation in Pakistan. AWARD Pakistan plans to plant 1 million trees in the next 5 years considering that Pakistan is among the top 10 countries, most affected by the Climatic Changes. The country had faced several natural disasters on very large scale in the past decade due to rise in temperature such as earthquakes, famine, floods, deadly heatwaves etc.
The donations collected during this quarter have reduced.During the last quarters, AWARD Pakistan initiated a plantation drive in rural areas of Faisalabad. The team also monitored the planted trees along with the communities. The community cooperated in every aspect and took the lead in plantation of of trees in the 4 respective areas.
To extend this initiative to 25 more villages , AWARD require more support from the supporters and donors. February is considered suitable for plantation in Pakistan, therefore we are hopeful to plant 1000 trees with the help of the communities.
We would like to request our donors to continue their support , to help the people fight back harmful effects of climate change.
