We appreciate your help and the USD 1974 contributions you made. The project endorses the government's vision of combating climate change through plantations in Pakistan. AWARD Pakistan plans to plant 1 million trees in the next 5 years, considering Pakistan is among the top 10 countries most affected by climate change. The country has faced several natural disasters on a huge scale in the past decade due to a rise in temperature, such as earthquakes, famine, floods, deadly heat waves, etc.The
AWARD team has been encouraging rural and urban communities to plant trees in their surroundings. This has been done through house visits and group meetings with the target groups of every project of AWARD. The community, in response, is playing its part and is planting trees as much as it can.
To extend this initiative to more villages, AWARD requires more support from its supporters and donors. August is considered suitable for plantation in Pakistan; therefore, the team has planted 1000 trees with the help of the communities. The organization,, along with the community members, also organized a walk to advocate for a clean environment, where hundreds of youth participate. AWARD team managed to plant trees with community's collaboration to create an impact to inspire more people.
We would like to request that our donors continue their support to help the people fight back against the harmful effects of climate change.
