We’re excited to share that the Mobile School is once again on the road, bringing joy, learning, and hope to children across Iasi and Suceava.
We began this year with fresh purpose and renewed confidence, thanks to the launch of two impactful new projects funded by the European Union. These initiatives, now underway in Iasi Municipality and Suceava County, are focused on something deeply important: keeping children with their families and supporting the reintegration of those who have already been separated.
So far, we’ve formed dedicated teams in both regions, strengthened our relationships with local authorities, and started identifying the families most in need. At the same time, we’ve been planning and implementing essential activities that will form the foundation for long-term success.
At the heart of our mission is a simple yet powerful truth, family matters. A stable, loving family is the cornerstone of a child’s emotional, psychological, and social development. When children grow up in nurturing homes, they are more likely to thrive, build strong relationships, and grow into resilient, confident adults. But when that foundation is disrupted, the consequences can be heartbreaking for children. Many face emotional trauma, developmental delays, difficulty forming attachments, and a greater risk of abuse, exploitation, or long-term institutionalization.
While we strongly believe that family matters the most, we also recognize that not every family environment is safe or nurturing. Sadly, there are situations where, in the best interest of the child, separation is necessary. We work closely with authorities and care professionals and our priority remains the child’s safety and well-being.
The objective of the projects is to strengthen the family's ability to care for their children by improving living conditions and equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to stay together. Through tailored psychological counseling, educational guidance, financial support, and social services, we help families overcome the challenges that put them at risk of separation.
In total, over a period of three years, we plan to work with 504 children at risk of separation, 252 from Iasi and 252 from Suceava, as well as with 28 institutionalized children (14 from each region), with the goal of safely reintegrating them into family life and ensuring long-term stability and care.
These efforts reflect our core belief, every child deserves to grow up in a safe, supportive, and loving home. And with your support, we can make that belief a reality for hundreds of children and families.
Stay tuned for updates, and thank you for being part of this journey.
