As part of our main program, our dedicated team and volunteers successfully worked in Bayankhongor and Tov provinces, providing high-quality animal treatment and conducting veterinary education training for local veterinarians.
Our head volunteer veterinarian, Don Crosby, has returned from Australia and was joined by two student vets from France and and our local staff.
The team successfully addressed eye disease, fly strike, lameness, sick calves, and coughing. They trained local veterinarians on horse colic, horse lameness, pink eye in cattle, and injections in fetlock joints. Additionally, they provided practical demonstrations on the blocks, joint infections, infections, on infections joints and tendon sheaths.
The most exciting experience was treating yaks for the team. They also had the opportunity to visit a dairy farm and learn about the health of the cows.
The team covered a total of 1,560 km and treated 63 animals, as well as trained thirteen local provincial veterinarians.
Our deepest gratitude goes to you for your generous donation and support, to Randlab Australia for supplying the drugs, and to wonderful volunteers and staff that who make the program successful!
