Morocco Earthquake Relief and Recovery Update

In the past few months, we successfully delivered cash assistance to 600 households, which includes 300 livelihoods grants and 300 basic needs grants. We areworking to deliver the second installment of basic needs cash assistanceto the same households in the coming weeks.

NEF surveyed the recipients to gather feedback on our cash delivery approach. Overall, the feedback was very positive.

The survey found:

93% of households expressed satisfaction to a very high degree with the grant they received.
Cash assistance fulfilled all or most priority needs for 99% of the respondents.
The top uses of the grant by recipients were house repairs/rehabilitation, debt repayment, and household items.
The provision of cash assistance was deemed effective and safe.
