September 14 | Report on Earthquake Relief Efforts

By Selah Randolph | Communications Manager

Our team has been tirelessly working to purchase, pack, deliver, and distribute supplies. To date, we have distributed to 52 villages in 15 communes, directly supplying 2596 families with urgently needed supplies.

This ongoing effort has been made possible through your generous donations over the past several days. We’re responding to requests from communities daily, and we are grateful for the many individuals and partners who have stepped up to provide relief.

On Tuesday, HAF’s relief efforts covered sixteen villages in Ijjoukak, Ighil and Imgdal communes. On Wednesday, the team extended support to sixteen additional villages in Talmakante and Almelmiss communes, Chichaoua province.

Communities in these areas are grieving heavy losses. Many children are facing the loss of their parents, and parents are grieving the death of their children. One of our staff members, calling from Telouat, took a deep breath over the phone. “It’s brutal. It’s pounding. It’s a nightmare. And everyone is feeling it.”

We couldn’t do this without you. Thank you so much for your practical, actionable giving.
