It’s almost June which means that in Mali, the rainy season is upon us, and mosquitos are out in full force until October.
But because of you, and your donations, we were able to purchase mosquito nets during the off season – meaning the Alliance and the villagers did not have to worry about receiving enough nets.
Mosquito nets prevent against diseases like malaria and are one of the most effective live saving measures people can take. In the last 10 years the number of new malaria cases has declined by 25 percent globally. These gains have been made through a combination of interventions – especially the used of mosquito nets around the bed.
We are so thankful for your support and generosity, especially this time of year!
Iniche!
